With snowflakes adorning small tree branches, twinkle lights sparkling, and a silver backdrop for photos, the decorations at the Winterfest dance created an elegant, winter-wonderland feel. The dance was located in the SNIF, rather than the old dining hall like last year, giving the LCPA had less space to work. However, the assiduous parents pulled of an incredible feat even with the limited space, transforming the SNIF and the outside area magnificently.

The food was a big hit as well, and although some students missed the classic chocolate fountain, the parent’s outdid themselves by having a s’mores station complete with individual open flames to roast your marshmallow. Other featured refreshments included fruit kabobs, a lemonade fountain, and a variety of popcorn flavors.

A real DJ was in charge of the music and colorful lights mimicked the beat. A real dance floor covered half of the carpeted SNIF and tall tables along with the food and beverage stations took up the remaining area.

Everyone was excited to dress up and take pictures in their heels and blazers. Despite the changes from last year, the students made the most of it and overall the dance was a success!
